I just got to handle a Ken Onion Chive today. That was one cool little mechanism there, and the lock felt pretty secure. However the blade is kind of hard to close one-handed, which I guess is reasonable since you're going against the torsion bar.
I really like the assisted-opening idea, but I personally like the looks of the Flash much more than the Chive. The additional safety and the low-carry clip are additional pluses, but I hope the Zytel scales don't feel light and cheap like on my Autoclip.
Now to see if I can hold out until it's released... or else I'll have to buy both!
