Flashback To The 80's. . . . New INFI!!!. . . . . Coming Soon!!!!

What is the point of the saw it it is such a great chopper?

Why are the teeth "pointing" forwards?

Axe Hammer aside, this might be the Busse I've always been waiting for.

Gotta admit that looks pretty darned cool, but does it have Light Brigade handles? I might consider it if so even though I could do without the saw, if not a full tang without LB would definitely be a deal killer at this point.

I'm refreshing the site and debating handle color... Either red black or green black g10...... Maybe black paper, blade color doesn't matter because I'll strip it immediately

I prefer black paper first for everything at this point, canvas micarta being second pick. You won't regret going with black paper….

Black paper comes black and looks more like g10 right? Doesn't have that grey look to it like the black canvas in the picture from Jerry above? How does black paper hold up?

Black Paper is slightly less forgiving than canvas micarta, but still far more durable than most natural materials and plenty strong enough. it does look a lot like Black G-10, but it has a smoother/softer look and feel…. though most people consider it too 'slick' I find it plenty grippy with a well designed handle shape and texturing.

I agree. Black paper micarta is slick and looks almost like zytel or plastic if it isn't textured. If it is textured it looks great and it's decently grippy. It dings and takes gouges a little easier than canvas, but not much.

Love the look of this one. If you don't need a saw for notching, you certainly need a fighting blade with 12 blade catch notches.

I have to say, it looks fantastic.

I wish I had the funds.

So are "corrugated bevel technology" blades cnc'd rather than ground?

I'm not a100% sure but I'm gonna guess all Busse blades are cnc'd. Grinding is just a finishing process. The extent of grinding/polishing depends on the finish being offered for that particular blade. The cbt is the least labor related finish, except for the BIG finish.that might be less because its not coated. This is just what I can tell from my days in a machine shop. Like I said, I'm just guessing.

Thanks for the reply!

That definitely influences my view.

Also what color combo would you like this in? I'm thinking black on black or maybe desert sage on tan or maybe even black on tan

Tanker grey/black paper! Thanks for asking. I'll send you my address. Can't believe I scored one for free! :)
