I don't know what it is. I just got an Inova X5, and I feel the need for something bigger, better.............. I've always had a thing for good flashlights. But now, I've REALLY got the itch. I think I know what I'm going to get next, but I'd like to hear what you HOGS like. Thanks. Or just mention what other gadgets/goodies you like to buy/play with/collect. Thanks.
Of course, I'm still on the hunt for certain Busses too.

i just got the innova T4 and it rocks. 4 watt LED, 100 lumens, 2 hour non-dimming run time, 3 hour charge and no battery memory.

the one thing I like about the Inova X5 is the run time,,typically 20 hours, although it isnt a really bright light, but it is one that I would choose for an emergency light simply because of the burn time.

I also have the Inova T3, it has an 80-85 lumem output, excellent light,,,it has a burn time of about 2 hours,, but i consider that pretty good compared to my Surefire lights that have a 65 lumen output for about 1 hour.

My next will probably be the Inova T4 or the T5.

if you wonna see the ULTIMATE in a handheld flashlight,,,check out the Surefire "Beast",, it isnt on their website anymore,,,but it is their paper catalog, check out the link below,,,and try not to drool to hard

I haven't tried any other flashlights except Surefire.

I have the G2, D3, 9P and the M6.

I put a jagged bezel on the front of the 9P, and converted the D3 to a 12PM, which they don't make anymore, it's similar to the M4 Devastator.

The M6 is brutal. It really blinds the person you shine it on, for more than 10 seconds, and is heavy enough to do real damage.

I mainly bought these lights, not so much for the run time, but for security, inside and outside the home.

Besides blinding people, they are made sturdy enough to use a weapon.

The bigger ones make a great weapon, since it's not against the law, to carry them as some knives are, you can have them out in the open, without fear of the police arresting you.

There are plenty of good flashlights out there, you just have to decide what size you want and what are you going to use it for.

LED's are great for run time and light for short distances, but don't have the blinding ability and long distance power, as the above lights do.

Good luck with your quest.

For me, knives and flaslights, go hand and hand.

that's the picture that did it for me!! ...really like the knife too...
I went for the Gladius as opposed to the SureFire U2...great light. I have ALOT of SureFires though

Don't tell my old lady but, I have a Surefire 6P with the 2 bulbs, a G2, 2 ARC AAA, an old one and a rev 4, 2 Peak Solutions LED Matterhorns a chinese 3watt Luxeon, a Dorcy 1watt Luxeon, MiniMag LED conversion 4D Maglite, and several smaller MiniMags along with about 4 Maglite Solataires, oh yea and a chinese UV 12 LED lite.

Oh yea forgot my Inovas, X1, and X5 and several Inova keyring lites.

I have had the flashlight bug for quite a while now. I carry a G2 on my duty belt an ARC AAA in my pocket for a back-up. When I'm on my own time, I carry an L4. When I got the L4, my wife upgraded from her G2 to my former EDC, an E2E.

I recently found a discontinued Z3, and I love it! I plan on adding a turbo-head for even more fun! :D

I have a friend that can get me some good deals on Surefires. I have been looking at a G2 or an Aviator. The LED and incandescent bulbs would be perfect for my uses. Large beam for "whatever" and LEDs for close up/ night use.

CAUTION!!!!! Surefire's are as adictive as Busse's. I have alot of surefire's... there's atleast one in each room of the house with a M4 on my nightstand and a 12pm here in the office. I have seen one of the "Beast's" and it could literally burn your skin it was so bright, but for a $3k flashlight I'd expect nothing less:) Now I must quickly move along or I'll end up going to buy another light.

I have a few Sure Fires, I carry an Aviator daily. I have a 9R with Turbo head and a C2 running around here some where. I would like to try a Gladius, but I can't seem to part with my knife money for one. :)

What do you think of your aviator? I started a thread in the gadgets section and half claimed it was totaly awsome and the other siad it was a total bummer. So I am sort of sitting on the fence until I can get some more info.

I like it. I got the "white" LEDS as opposed to the color ones. It gives enough light to read or work by in a pinch. The Single LED on my X200 is a heck of a lot brighter, but the run time isn't as good. It is all a compromise. I rarely use the regular bulb on the aviator, but it is nice to have it there in the same package for "defensive" purposes.

I have the C2, Aviator, E1e, and L1.

For killing power I like the C2, but it doesn't get used much (but nice to have if needed).
The Aviator is a great light and I used it to the exclusion of others until I got the L1. The aviator burns batteries pretty fast running on high beam.
The L1 is smaller (perfect for pocket), and has the hil/lo LED option. The Hi beam looks out pretty far into the night, but isn't really great if you have defensive thoughts in mind. Running time is fantastic for one battery.

The E1e is just too small for my hands, too big for a keychain, sort of an odd size.

By the way, The GG&G TID made for the E1/E2 size lights works very well on the L1.

I have the Streamlight Stinger, small version. Works great. Very rugged. Not the smallest of flashlights but they make smaller models. I've had a lot good luck with my Streamlight. The only problem was when I had to replace the batteries. Only a couple of places sell them and they weren't cheap. $40.00. The light and chargers were about $150.00. The original batteries did last me a few years though and I used it daily back when I was working on cars for a living. So not too bad I guess.

Stay Strong & No Regrets!
