ok I have full size mags in my house and cars, a stinger is my work light, a mini mag takes care of my hunting needs and I got a 3p for my pocket for other times. I'd like to replace the 3p. I'm thinking of a 6p or a scorpion. I know the 6p is brighter but the bulbs are much more expensive. I want a light that I can have comfortably in my pocket and give me more light han the 3p.

If you can afford it, I would definitely recommend the Surefire M2. I recently purchased mine from http://www.botachtactical.com/flashlights1.html for only $90. Otherwise, you could find it as low as $100 if the sale passes.

Anyway, the M2 is waterproof and comes with both the 65 and 120 lumen bulbs. I think it is worth the extra money over the 6P because of the dual lamps, waterproofness, lock-out tail cap, pocket clip and overall "cool" factor, especially if you can purchase it on sale.

The hi-output lamp is brighter than my 9P, which is quite impressive. The M2 is also considerably smaller and more compact than the 9P, not to mention it uses one less 123A, albeit for a shorter run time. Additionaly, pocket or belt carry via the pocket clip on the M2 would be no problem at all. True, the bulbs are more expensive, but IMHO, the M2 is worth serious consideration even at the higher price tag.

I like my Scorpion, and am waiting on the Surefire E1 to come out.

Try giving www.brightguy.com a call. They don't have the SureFire E1 listed on their web page, but Greg Atwell told me they can get it and it sells for $56.95. Tell him Mel sent you.

I just got a Scorpion on recommendation from Dano and St James and I love it! Highly recommend it to anyone.

The e1 looks pretty sweet too. Might have to get one of those...

Thanks for all the help guys. I think I'm going to order a Scorpion. I don't mind spending more for the 6p but then you always have to keep spending more for 6p bulbs. The scorpion bulbs are much cheaper and it comes with a spare to start with.Plus this light is just to fill the gap between my 3p and stinger. Thanks again.
