I cut these blocks so the figure on the faces would have flamed figuring. The top and bottoms of your handle will show burl eyes transforming into flamed figure on the sides. Very nice clean orange coloring and figure that is extra flashy. This redwood is harder and almost twice as heavy as normal redwood burl. There may be some small open eyes or tiny hairline checks that are an easy fix with a little CA glue.
If you need your blocks cut into scales, just let me know and I can cut them into a pair of scales for free. Just takes me a couple minutes and they turn out flat and even thickness.
