  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

flask of kerosene, some cotton = BIG fire

Okay, I'll admit it, I like quiche, and I'm man enough to admit it. Don't think I would bring it to the backwoods with me, though. A man has to have some limits, after all.

I never could figure out who in their right mind would use the 3 ouncers for alcohol!~ Great post and idea! I normally have kerosene or lamp oil in my oil lanters. I wonder if it will work with wax paraffin lamp oil..you have any handy?

lemme check the Flammable Materials cabinet (next to the drill press by the spice rack in the kitchen :p

I agree with your second sentence, but I'm still not a big fan of quiche.

Not everyone is, of course. I can't stand liver, but some people love it: there's just no accounting for taste.:D

Raymond,

It depends who you are bringing into the backwoods with you.;)

DancesWithKnives

I see.

You’ve got this hot number. She’s sitting on a log, leaves in her hair, drinking out of a Guyot bottle, sharing her crème brulee with the ants. That gets her all amorous.

Does she have a sister?

crème brulee and ants.....I'm in!

Ray,

Yes, but her sister is much younger and a nympho. And high-sugar foods really set her off....

DancesWithKnives

Without it, how could one possibly make a respectable backwoods creme brulee?;)

DancesWithKnives

A true thing you have said, my friend....

And I thought it was creme brule with ants, I bet Ray would stop by for some of that... Especially if they were those lemony ones from Australia...

I have seem people use their regular LP gas stoves to light a campfire, smart really, though a bit dangerous... Ever move a LP gas stove around, when lit? Whoossh!!
