Flat-Cap Jigging!!

Congrats ! Is it as dark as in the picture or just the light ?
It is certainly dark but the light probably does make it just a hair darker than it would be in good lighting.
Essentially identical!!

The colors do vary!! Nice one!!
Thank you so much for putting this run together. The action is very similar to the 2019 run. I’m in love with this jigging. Certainly a different feel than the prior. Just need to find a flat cap now so I’ll have the whole fit. 🤣

This one just came in today, and I’m blown away! It’s simply beautiful! Not one flaw on it. The only problem I see is trying to figure out a way to keep it in my collection and not in Mrs. Crappie’s.😂 She has a thing for Charlie’s knives! Congratulations waynorth waynorth you’ve done it again! 👍

That really is something! It looks like a full on custom!

There are a lot of Sheffield knives from the World Wars era, that have bone handles textured like a basket weave or rough checkering!! It sometimes resembles Tweed, or a coarse wool weave! Some collectors of knives (who you may know!!!) have found the name Flat-Cap Jigging to be appropriate, referring to those ubiquitous English Caps that are popular around the world!!View attachment 2756332
Here are some examples of the actual jigging!!View attachment 2756354
And some more;View attachment 2756356View attachment 2756357
(thanks to David and SteveC)

And finally, GEC has made a version for upcoming knives!!! A bit larger in scale, but attractive I think!!View attachment 2756362View attachment 2756363
Thanks, Bill!!!

If anyone has any jigging that fits these by definition, please post pictures for us to see!!
Charlie --these look incredible! Is there going to be a follow-up wood cover for these Waynorth 93s as in 2019? Thanks!

Speaking of flat caps, ears, and below zero (F) temperatures, are flat caps available with ear flaps/muffs?? o_O
They exist
I tend to have about 5 layers of "covering" on my head in the winter: a ball cap with brim to keep sun off my face (and snow off my glasses), a knit stocking cap, a balaclava-type mask/hood, a sweatshirt hood, and the hood of my parka. So I'm always interested in head warmth options!
You taken up armed robbery Gary?!
Only for the sartorialy challenged. 😁

All we had as kids wrere horrible home knitted Balacalavas which were also worn by English Arctic explorers.

Fun fact parents would dress us up in Balacalavas and wellies etc. in the snow and biting wind.

But all boys under 11 wore shorts to school, madness. 😁

LOL! :D I was the eldest in my family, so the itchy balaclavas were handed down from a previous generation! :D
Was never going to be anything else but another home run. ;) :)
Definitely :)

A fine example of flat-cap jigging.

I’ll try to get a photo of the “Canadian” winter hat for you when I get home from work.

Forgot to snap a photo on Friday for you! 😱
When us canucks need to keep our ears warm in the “what the heck” below temperatures…we reach for one of these…
