Flat/Convex Ruck In Action

Never take me too seriously.

But, anyone that thinks that grind job hurt the value of the ruck is crazy (Tony???).

As for the warranty, I'm pretty specific about the edge geometry I want on a blade that I have Ban grind on. I have already gone through a small nail with a slightly thinned EU-17 Magnum with no damage, I'm going to go thinner on a few blades but they will be made for a very specific purpose and will not be abused. Performance and durability are trade-offs, any one that buys that ruck will know that it was ground to slice like crazy, not chop through traffic signs and concrete. If they use it as intended, it will never break.

Im sure Hogwash was joking about that, if he was worried about value he wouldnt have half his Busses lined up to be moded by Ban.

LVC doesnt live to far away from us, maybe he could join us and show us proper technique. :p

Now that is a good idea! What say you LVC? I just need to make sure I have another Ruck or AK ready by then. This one is already packaged up ready to be sent back.

Hmmmm I have a Ruck that might need some prettying up. :D

I would love to, but I'm a few steps past strapped for cash :(

my last 2 months rent has been put on a 25% apr credit card because that was the only available funds I had. and thats on top of a more manageable 3,000$ card thats maxed out. I'm trying to save as much money as possible to wipe that debt out, and have at least a little bit of money to move to Omaha Nebraska :barf::barf::barf:. the prospect of moving to Omaha during its second to coldest month with no money is a dreadful one.

and I apologize if I came off as no-it-all ish, I really don't know anything about tamishigiri or swordsmanship at all. I've only done 3 or 4 bottle/can cuts, so I have little to no experience. I've just found bottle cutting to be really counter intuitive and surprisingly hard. the whole "spring back" effect really caught me off guard when I was trying it...

LVC,

Sorry to hear about your situation. I hope everything pans out for you. Please feel free to give me a holler if there is anything I can do to help. We are not that far away!

What is the apology for ? This is a discussion forum to share thoughts and ideas. And BTW, I took you seriously that no-it-all-ish whatchamacallit thingamajiggy never even crossed my mind. I think that gimmejr has plans to setup another get together :p
