Whether you are just starting out or are an old pro:), this grinding jig will produce better grinds, faster and with more freehand control than anything you have ever tried.

If you would like to see them in operation, look here:

The Bubble jig, by itself, with a set of degree wedges and a basic instruction sheet is $40.00 plus shipping.

The complete grinding system, which includes the Bubble Jig, degree wedges, bevel grinding clamp, allen wrenchs and a basic instruction sheet, is $75.00 plus shipping.

The bevel clamp, made from machine ground 01, is hardened along the griping fingers [60 HRC] to ride along the belt edge, the loop end has been left normalized for full, spring temper, flexibility. It will grip steel stock from under an 1/8 inch to over a 1/4 inch securely.

We are working on an adjustable clamp to hold folder blades; that can be used with the bubble.

The magnetic blade holder/position-er, that is seen in the sharpening video is also something I am interested in developing. A handle with a multi position magnet in the end of it. I use the one, I have, here at my shop a lot, to grind swedges or to sharpen. You can hold a blade a lot steadier than with your fingers.
If you light the ends of your fingers up a few times; you tend to get a little ouchie.
Good to hear from you. How long did you get to lay on the couch after thanksgiving dinner?:)

Fred

PS With the new forum rules, the original Bubble Jig thread with the 13000 views is languishing on the umptenth page, with its 10-07-2009 dated brethren. Heh! Some days you eat the bear, some days the bear eats you.
It was my turn to be lunch.:)
