Flat ground folders?

I'm looking for examples of flat-ground drop-point style folders in the 3" to 3.5" range and stainless steel. The Cold Steel Ultimate Hunter fits the bill so far. Any others come to mind?

I have the same Gerber issues everyone else has, but the old style Gator with the drop point ATS-34 flat grind blade is a keeper. There are still some around.

The Spyderco Stretch, now discontinued and beginning to get scarce with some sales around is a 3.5" flat ground and kind of fits your bill. The downside seems to be the Kraton insertys in the SS grips. Personally, I love them and mine show no deterioration. It is an all around sleeper about $80ish on sale before they disappear.

Did I say I love mine. A wicked, precise yet tactical folder without the looks of one. An all time sleeper.

Other choice Spyderco R2. Also VG10 and wicked cutter. Joe

Spyderco Caly3. It is smaller than Mini-Manix or R2. Blade length 3", VG10, black G10 handle, low riding wire clip, dual steel liners. Caly3 is much lighter and smaller than Mini-Manix, also great cutter and perfect for EDC. I carry it for 3 month and love it.

The venerable opinel is flat-ground but not a drop-point. However, given what they cost, you could very easily do a mod on a classic and come up with something really interesting.

My CS has a hollow-sabre grind..

??

I love the Harsey T-2..
a very high flat grind to consider maybe the BM 520 or a Rat Trap

:)

Ontario RAT folder.

Strider SnG, or the Bucks with ATS34 blades. 3" edge, flat ground, double choil, drop point, all the features of a utility hunter pattern.

While I'm at it, thanks to all for helping me wade through the choices.

I wondered about the grind on the CS Ultimate Hunter. Some photos sure looked like the blade was hollow ground and others weren't so obvious. The CS web site says "The blade featuring Lloyd’s famous drop point configuration is ideal for field dressing and skinning big game animals and is stout enough to withstand considerable abuse without snapping. It’s fashioned from 4 millimeter thick VG-1 stainless steel and flat ground to an unbelievably sharp edge....."

Is it possible the design has changed with the change in steel? Anyboy know fer sure?

Thanks!
