Flat ground Pikuni?

I recently aquired a REKAT Pikuni and was immediatly surprised at how thick the edge was. I have had my Pikuni flat ground nice and thin by a custom knifemaker friend of mine, but are there any plans to do a nice thin flat grind from the factory?
