Anyone have any info on Flat ground sebenza (value) I recently acquired one in the box with documentation from 2001 blade is signed by Chris reeve

It is worth it's weight in gold. I Asked chris to make me one, name the price and he told me no and no plans in the future of making any more. If you plan on selling this fine knife pm me.:o

I had one in my hands and sent it back. I did not the signature. No offense, Chris. If Anne signed it, it would be in my pocket!! :)

I use one as an EDC. I like the added heft and I feel they cut better than the regular model. I wish Chris would offer flat ground blades as an option but I heard that they were too difficult to grind.

Ya'd all be peeved if I told you I have two.
:D

I'm asking $2000.00 a piece for them. This was they stay in my safe!
:eek::rolleyes::)

I think I paid $420 for the last one I got, that was about 2 years ago. It wouldn't surprise me if one would hit the $500 mark or better. Yeah, no flat ground anymore, but more importantly, NO REGULAR SEBENZAS ANYMORE!
:mad:

All kidding aside there are actually at least TWO Flat Ground Sebenzas kicking around WITHOUT the signature. I ended buying one from another party and took it with me to Boise to have Chris and Anne look at the knife because I had purchased it as a Flat Ground expecting that it would have the signature. When it arrived without I had some concerns and since I was going to be in Boise on business anyway took it along to have the final word from Chris as to it's authenticity. At first Chris said no way that it was real but after looking it over he went out the customer service desk and confirmed that a pair of Sebenzas without the signature had gone out of the shop. I know for a fact that the other Flat Ground without a signature ended up going to Tom Mayo for treatment so now the one I have tucked away in my safe along with some of my other "rare" CRK stuff won't ever get used like I intended because of it's rarity.
