Hello,

I was curious about getting the 'credit-card sized' flatbyrd.

1. Can it fit inside one of the flaps inside a regular-sized wallet where you' would normally put a credit card?
2. If not, can it fit comfortably inside the space where you put bills?
3. For a knife of its price/thickness, how does it hold up to say, cutting cardboard (the main use I was thinking of using it for)?
4. How does it compare to the Spyderco cricket?

Thanks!

1. No, at least not my wallet
2. It will fit, but is a bit snug in my smallish wallet
3. Works fine as a box cutter
4. Bigger, flatter, easier to sharpen blade, not as "cute"

Hope this helps. Mine just about disappears when I carry it in my rear pocket with my wallet.

The Flatbyrd will fit in the credit card slots or the bill portion of my wallet. It is thicker than a credit card, but it still fits.

I usually carry loose in the pocket behind my wallet (I am also a front pocket wallet carrier). I find it works very well to carry behind the wallet. You can also get to it more easily if it is not inside your wallet.

I have not used the Cricket enough to compare to the Flatbyrd, but the Flatbyrd works great for cutting cardboard - the wharncliffe blade is really nice.
