A friend of mine showed me a Spyderco knife I had never seen before the other day. He told me it was called the Flatiron. I have never seen this knife ANYWHERE. I was wondering if someone could tell me about it. Also where could I get one for my collection.
 
You had to buy it through Spyderco's catalog,back when it was called Ironstone.If I remember right it has a Rescue handle with a wide spearpoint blade.
 
I take it they are not made anymore??? I would like one for my collection that is all. I also take it that it was not a catologed item?
 
Hi Royo. We only made about 500 pieces. They were originally made as an exclusive for a catalog, but the catalog couldn't take them, so Ironstone sold them through their catalog and stores. Ironstone no longer exists.

dang ...I guess I will have to find one and twist thier arm to sell it to me someday....Oh well such is life . Thanks Sal
