flattening stock

Probably super basic questions... So I ordered some 1084 that came with a slight warp to it. I assume heating it up to orange or so and clamping in vice will be sufficient to straighten? And after the straightening heat does that ruin the normalized/annealed state to where I need to redo it before proceeding to the rest of the stock removal and quench? My prior stock removal knives were made with already flat stock so the only time they saw the forge was for the austenitizing/quench step.

I'd draw file it flat, maybe hit it with a sanding disc first if it's got scale, and finish it on the surface plate

I'm assuming the "warp" is the flat stock got bent a little in shipping or maybe from being sheared off a larger piece by the seller. Just bend it back or flatten it carefully with a hammer and wood blocks, it's not hardened yet. No need to heat it up yet.

I used to call it making folders, now I just realize it is a few ops here and there in between straightening. I like to use an arbor press with a couple of shims.

If the steel bends back like a spring it might need an anneal cycle but this is highly unlikely.
