Flavio Ikoma / CRKT "Deadbolt" Lock

I love the Gerber "Paul' lock... So I got a Seismic... Meh... Looks better than it performs...

Not recommended?

It was on my buy list but I was ambivalent about it because of the price and because it doesn't look much like the earlier Ikoma designed knives that I already own.

My personal opinion... not a knife I would ever carry... I like the design well enough... But not the ergos 'in the hand'... I have large hands... and yet this large knife isn't very comfortable...

^That's my thought as well.

I like it enough to keep it in the collection, but it's going in "the collection," not my EDC rotation.

XOC would interest me if it were more reasonably priced. The Kershaw Tilt didn't cost nearly that much when it came out. The fact the knife is from CRKT and priced like unobtanium, plus the fact they gave so many freebies to "influencers" does not fill me with excitement.

I'd rather just save up a little and get a custom Tighe or something.

I'd be willing to give CRKT a chance with premium knives, and they seem to want to court buyers like me/us, but they also seem to fundamentally not understand that market or something.

XOC in at 11 ounces.... Ouch

And with both of these knives, the backside of the lock is a black freaking rectangle that sits there looking cheezy.... Not a lot of subtle engineering there

I'd be interested in the Deadbolt lock if it came in a smaller, more reasonable knife with a better design. I'm hoping they'll give it the "Fieldstrip" treatment and put it in more knives in the coming years.
