Flaws on a brand new knife, what would you do?

Ask them to send you a replacement. After all, it's a knife I'm sure you put some thought into buying.
 
At the $400 price point, return it for a refund or replacement. An even bevel is a fundamental aspect of the blade that should be nearly perfect from the manufacturer. Especially at that price point. Sorry man, but that’s BS. They need to get that right, and it isn’t right. Don’t put up with it.
