Whoa there buddy. Who are you to say what enough money is? I don't want to get too political here but it's not your decision to make how much money anyone else earns. I can think of a few historical leaders that told their subjects how much money they could make.

I said nothing about how much money people could make, you must be from the same "totally made up and moot points" debating school as Powernoodle.....

So it's OK to sell something for a premium if you manufacture it but reselling is bad? Where do you get your food? Your car? Your clothes?

Again, what are you talking about ?

You can go to a number of shops, online or other wise, and buy a CRK for the set and normal price everybody else can. You could also pay a purposefully elevated price (known as price gouging) given by someone that is trying to milk extra cash from an item that already has a known and set "value". Which knife would you choose ?.....Yes, I thought so.

You really just have to wonder about people sometimes.....

If you have to resort to claiming others can't debate well enough, you are probably losing an argument.

What am I talking about? If you really are having that much trouble understanding what I'm saying, I'll try again. Hopefully you aren't just acting dumb to try and prove my ignorance.

How is this situation any different than buying something to resell? CRK has a set price. Yes I know. We can all agree and move on. Now is this fleabay seller selling a WHOLE knife? No. He is piecing it out. You can't compare apples to oranges here. Besides that, you keep using the term gouging. I don't think that word means what you think it means. Are you being forced to buy something? Is it a necessity? I didn't think so. Here is the opening blurb from Wiki on price gouging:

"Price gouging is a pejorative term referring to a situation in which a seller prices goods or commodities at a level much higher than is considered reasonable or fair. This rapid increase in prices occurs after a demand or supply shock: examples include price increases after hurricanes or other natural disasters. In precise, legal usage, it is the name of a crime that applies in some of the United States during civil emergencies. In less precise usage, it can refer either to prices obtained by practices inconsistent with a competitive free market, or to windfall profits. In the Soviet Union, it was simply included under the single definition of speculation."

So I really don't see the connection you are trying to make with that term.

Let me know if you understand any of my points or if I am just using a "Fisher Price" level argument.

As a side note, all that this thread has done is bring extra attention to the auctions. There's no such thing as bad publicity. If you really hated what the seller is doing, best thing to do is ignore it and not post about it on a public forum.

Well, we have managed to go from used cars, to accusations of communist style dictatorism to company Vs private sales to food and clothes and now to just pure nonsense. :D

I think perhaps you have to cool the old jets, read through this thread and pick up on the points actually being made, you're all over the place. Did you actually read any of what I posted or are you just sporting for an argument about anything you can manage to come up with ? The facts of that matter here are unchanged, prevaricate it all you want. I really couldn't care less about this silly back and forth.

I personaly see the situation outlined in the original post of this thread as distasteful and I am happy to state as much time and again and I happy in my assessment of it as "gouging". Why you take such glaring offence to that I have no idea.
