After seeing Steelerfans post yesterday with his newly born knife work area in progress, I figured I would post some pictures of my temporary shop until our house is complete. I am sure it has been done before but I am sucker for pictures and tools so if any of you want, please post up pictures of your area. Its nice to see how other guys are operating just starting out.

My work area is currently at our rental house which is a one car detached garage with no heat. The Ohio winter has been brutal to work out there with only a little space heater to keep me company but it works for now. Don't laugh but the blue barrel is my stool at this point but it does work.

First pic is just my little space to work where we don't have storage shelves and items in boxes from moving.

On the left is a permanent workbench that was at the house when we moved in. I have my 1x30 sander, 4x36 sander, and drill press on this bench with a couple of vises and unorganized wall of needed tools hung on the wall.

In the center is my "clean station" but only being two feet from the other bench it is severely lacking in the clean area. I have all my measurement tools, drills and taps, and handle materials in the bins. I just got the granite inspection plate as a hand me down from the in laws which was much needed.

And last on the right is somewhat of cut area with a scroll saw, buffer, and miter saw. With my two brick forge and some other odds and ends below.

And finally my new work shop that someday I might be able to call home. The work shop area is in the very front of the picture beside the garage which is out of the picture. We just got the forms off the other day and hope to start framing soon.

Well thanks for taking a look at my little work area and hopefully I didn't put you all to sleep. Like I said I would love to see everyone's shops and areas so maybe I can still some ideas once I we get the house done.

Thanks John, we are building with a local builder, Eilerman Construction. We were hoping to have the basement floor poured this week but of course with spring in Ohio we have snow on the ground this morning, so its the waiting game at this point.
