Flexibility : SR-101 versus INFI

What is it you really want to know?

Or are you just trolling?

I think the recent onslaught of trolls have made folks a little jumpy around here.

Just to settle things, Sasha Cohen is more flexible than both INFI and SR-101.

Ok, I understand. Another question: an INFI blade differentially tempered, is it possible? Is it stonger?

All INFI is thru hardened, no need for diff hardening. I've never heard of a diff tempered INFI blade.

I am also a big fan of SR101, and the Bog Dog in D2.

So why isn't Infi differentially hardened?

To wit, the Boney AD is a thinner blade that has been hardened to 60-62 (IIRC). Why not diff harden to give the edge 60-62R and the spine something closer to spring steel or even 58-60R like other Infi blades? Wouldn't that end up protecting the blade from breaking as easily?

Wasn't this the key to many of the great blades of history? A combination of hardness and resiliency? Am I wrong to equate hardness with brittleness?

Wonder how SR-77 plays against SR101 and INFI? There is a monkey wrench in the discussion :)

What would be nice it`s a «scientific» test comparing exactly in the same way 2 identical blades of SR-101 and INFI.
