Flexible blades breaking epoxy bond.

Like Stacy said, start distal taper AFTER your flat ricasso area. I do that, as well as use 3 smaller pins. I think a smaller pin looks less odd closer to the ricasso are. Also, i have a pretty steep angle at the front of my scales, so there is no way my scales are flexing there. Of course getting your tang and scales COMPLETELY flat is critical, and when i have had the problem you are having, that wound up being the culprit.

I like that. It's hard to see the plunge on mine but it starts at the choil and is set at a 35-40 set angle. I do have full distal taper that I was kinda proud of.

This knife I can't see the gap in the scale but heard some poping sounds that I thought was just a little squeeze out popping off but a second knife I made the next day did the same thing and I can see the gap when the blade is flexed.
