Ok guys, so the TK 10 came in the main today. Now I wanted to do a review of some of the lights I have and show how much better the TK 10 IS!

This is a quick beam shot review and a look at the parts and size of various lights, tonight I'll get some range shots and show you the power of various lights.
First off, some pics of then together and then taen apart.

First are the two maglite mini's, Unknowen lumen. Next is the Raovac outdoorsman, 1 watt xenon 45 lumens. Then Inova X0 4.8 watt Xenon? at ~80 lumens I believe. Then the Fenix TK10 at 225, and 60 lumens respectivly. then the Dorcy 1 watt led at 40 lumens then the Inova X1 with a 1X5mm led, around 10 lumens.

I would like to mention, these shots are miss leading, there not showing the full amount of light, or too much in the case of the maglite. Tonight I will show proper pictures of lighting effect, this was to show components and beam shape.

Now, all busted down with the easily removed parts/batteries and lenses.

Next the Raovac, first a focused shot, then with the head off.

Next the Inova X0, at what I thought was 80 lumens, but it doesnt look it eh?

Now the Fenik tk10 at 225 lumens.

Next was the Dorcy 1 watt, 40 lumens

And lastly the Inova X1, at about 10 lumens, but with a 10 hour run time. funny, the TK10 has a 60 lumen output for 10 hrs too.

And of course the usfulness of the torch feature of the maglite. I keep this and the raovac in the car, the torch feature is very useful.

So, as a conslusion Im happy with all my lights, 40 lumens is good enough for general use, and would sufice anyone who needed something a little brighter than a maglite. But like the rest of use, one knife can cut, but fancy ones a cooler

Tonight some night shots will be up.

Good review fonly - but I'm laughing at this. You locked yourself in the basement in the middle of the day with the lights out to test out flashlights. That is just hardcore man!

I also like the lamp feature on my maglites, looking foreward to see how the tk10 looks outside.

if i may, i'd like to suggest an upgrade for your mini mag light. it's the terralux TLE-5 extreme, a 100 lumen drop in upgrade with a cree led. before that i had the triple led upgrade, which is also worth the price.

also, my romisen lights compare very favorably to my fenix, inova, and mag lights at a very low price.

still, TK-10's the best. wish i had one.

YES! that maglite upgrade would be awsome, also do you know anything about the led version that maglite sell's?. I saw that a few times, and notice (in canada anyways) it was double the price of the normal one. ($15 cdn for normal maglite, $32 bux for the led version)

i doubt the mag brand upgrade is as bright as the terra lux.

go to led-replacement.com and order. tell em i sent you.

i have several fenix lights and man, they are the best and brightest i have been able to afford! i have a first edition tk 10 too and that thing is rock solid and bright!!-fed

I have a rayovac in 3 watt. I use it everyday at work to inspect threads in bolt holes among other things. I like that the batteries seems to last quite awhile and it uses AA batteries. I found it and the 1 watt version at waalley wurld, but I don't know if they still carry them because I can't find them anymore, atleaest at my local store.

them idjits, they finally get something decent and they quit carrying it.

I don't know abut the other lights, I don't have any, but this one works for me.

Nice Post Fonly.

I got a TK10 just the other day. I was so impressed (especially for the price) that I ordered another one. One is for my BOB, and the other for EDC (as soon as it gets cold enough for a larger coat). They are amazing lights.
