I've decided that my TAD/Rexford RUT, Swiss Army Knives and Crawford liftlock folder.....combined with my many fixed blade edc knives......are more than enough for me so I've been assiduously selling my folder collection. I'm down to the remaining two, details as follows:
(1). Doc Shiffer Recon flipper with Chad Nichols damascus blade, sculpted and anodized titanium handles, sculpted titanium spoon clip and a custom damascus backspacer. This beauty fires on IKBS bearings, is a one-off masterpiece from Doc and is just a stunning example of Doc's work. The blade fires out like a rocket, locks up perfectly(no blade play in any direction) and is perfectly centered when it drops effortlessly back into the handle. Specs are as follows:
*OAL is 8 3/8"
*Blade Length is 3.5"
*Blade Thickness is 3/16"
*IKBS System
*Blade is Chad Nichols Damascus
*Handles are cared/anodized titanium in a bronze hue with hints of purple
*Clip is a custom bent spoon-type in anodized titanium to match the frame
*Backspacer is custom Chad Nichols Damascus
(2). Pohan Leu 3.25" reduced Bluephin.....bronze annodized titanium with Blacksite marbled carbon fiber(they don't make that type of carbon fiber any longer as the resin used is too expensive). The knife is perfect....used to cut some paper......has just a couple of small marks on the clip(nothing else anywhere).....flies open on the IKBS bearings, locks up like a vault with absolutely no blade play in any direction. This knife is as ridiculously sharp as you'd expect from Po and is just the perfect everyday carry companion!!
