I have had AO knives in the past, and the novelty wears off quickly.

What I meant it that the AO after a short period of time is no big deal to me. The novelty of the fact that a knife has Assisted Opening become blase.

Depends on the knife. I don't so much care for thumbstud fired assisteds but a flipper fire assisted is the sh1t. I don't get tired of my Bumps at all. Or DDR GHs. Just makes them easier to open.:thumbup:

Yep, never was a gimick to me, just an easier way to open a knife one handed.
