Had a Kershaw Lahar open in my pocket just a bit, ended up poking myself in the finger while on a hike. After that I've been careful about the placement of it. Hasn't happened with any other flippers.
My observations from carrying flippers is to always carry TIP-DOWN. I carried a ZT 0560CBCF for a time tip-up and it opened itself on more than one occasion, the last time it did, I stuck my hand in there and didn't know it had opened, leading to a pretty nasty cut on my index finger from that razor sharp S110V. I've never had a flipper open when carried tip-down however.
I have never had an assisted opening or thumbstud knife open in my pocket. I have only had one flipper open in my pocket - and only when it was carried loose (vs clipped). It is one with a light detent, though; but I didn't know about such things at the time.
