Flipper, thumbstud, spydie hole whats your fav way to open a knife?

I only have a couple but I like a flipper best. Love that action.;)

Flippers are neat but I gotta go with the Spyder hole. Based on my current edc I'm probably biased.

i go in order as such

Spydie hole (i also ghetto wave all my spydies so they usually get waved)

Flipper, love the action, very smooth very sleek

Thumbstud, fast, gets the job done, but leaves my thumb aching after heavy use

Spydie holes are great i've used one for 20 yrs. But now that i've experienced flippers, Well... i think i like them better.
Although most flippers are just not as sleek and out of the way in most cases as the holes.

Depends on the thumbstud design...some are just blister-forming abortions, others are really intuitively designed.

I'd say Thumbstud, Spyderhole, with Flippers being a rather distant third.

1st Spyder portal
2nd Buttons for automatics*
3rd Wave feature
4th Thumbstud
Would love to try a flipper as EDC but havent found anything with one that screams buy me yet.
*not a legal carry option here

I like the flipper and thumbstub on assisted knives, but I like spydie hole the best.I open my knife slowly so the hole makes it easy and gives you control over the blade.
Assisted is nice when you are working under the truck or something, but at work I have to be a bit discreet with my knives.

My favorite is a knife that offer both a flipper and thumbstuds. I like the spyder hole as well. A flipper with a spyderhole ala Yuna would be a great combination.

Wave
Nail nick
Hole
Pull fixed from sheath
No flipper experience, but they look great
No autos either

Spydie Hole is my preferred method.

I open knives with good thumbstuds (my favorite is Kershaw's layered one on the Blur) but I feel as if something is missing. It's hard to switch up.

Why not go with both & get a Buck Vantage Pro? Seriously, if all things were equal on a knife, I'd probably prefer an opening hole. I do like flippers, but they're not as stream-lined as the others, so it really depends on the design.

I like them all just fine, however, I prefer the spyder hole.

It works well for fast deployment, it does not get in the way of cutting or sharpening, it is easily used with gloves, and to top it off -I think it works the best underwater (salt series).
