Does anyone have experience with the flipping action of both a Kershaw Skyline and a Junk Yard Dog? I really like my JYD but it is huge and my wife keeps commandeering it. Also for reference I have a CRKT Swindle that is nice, but runs on ball bearings. I don't know why Kershaw seems compelled to assist everything they lay hands on these days.

I think you should give your wife the Skyline (if you're planning to get one). I miss my JYDII. That's a great knife, don't let anyone commandeer it.

You won't be guaranteed a good detent on the skyline either I'm afraid.

From one married man to another though, if you have the JYD already, buy a Skyline and then just let her pick. Better to have a wife that's happy with you than a knife that you're happy with. Plus, you can always just buy another JYD if she snags it, wives are harder to come by.

The JYD2 flips waaaay better than the Skyline. The Skyline's blade just doesn't have the weight ( compared to the JYD2 ) to give it the same satisfying feel... IMO .
Try to hunt down a JYD if you want the same smooth action of the JYD2 in a smaller package.
