Flitz gun/knife kit.

Hey guys,

I recently ordered the Flitz gun/knife kit. It comes with chrome + stainless steel cleaner plus flitz and their wax.

So, does anyone have experience with this? I'm mainly interested in the flitz and wax.

I've never used flitz before and will be using it mainly with spydercos. How does it fair with removing scratches/wear from this? Does it appear shiny or does it keep the original finish on the knife?

Also, how is the wax? Is it safe to use on knives? If so, does it work well? Does it stay on and repel fingerprints, scratches, all that good stuff?

Flitz polish is great !!

Be aware that Flitz is a very very mild abrasive , I stress very. It works well for taking out light scratches and light rust but it will attract fingerprints in my experience.

personally i see no use at all for a 'gun and knife' wax unless you have museum pieces , but thats me

I use the Flitz polish and it works great. It seems to really get the crap off of the blued guns and does a nice job on polishing up the stainless ones.

That "crap" coming off your blued guns is actually the bluing.
