I agree,, Renaissance Wax is the way to go,,,,,,, It's a great product, used sparingly ,,,,, lasts a long time,,,,, just a lil pricey but worth it !!!!!!!!
I used to be in retail and we would apply flitz wax to the blued guns that would get fondled on a regular basis to prevent them from getting all ugly with fingerprints, like you get with a coating of oil.
It does indeed work well. I use it on some of my highly polishied blued Colt's and others and it keeps the fingerprint smudges off the finish. It is also a good water repellent.
The cool thing is that when applied, it leaves no ugly film. So, yes... I would recommend it!
