wow, beautiful spot, yet something spookie about it.

You know, I never really thought about it, but the area is smack dab in the middle of Native-American ceremonial and burial grounds.

And we all know how that can go...

I always get an erie feeling when I visit sites of the moundbuilders. I grew up close to such a site in Arkansas next to the Mississippi river, Nodena. Pinson Mounds is not far from me now here in Tennessee.

I agree. Back in the dark, dusty days of my undergraduate years at UA, I wrote an article that was published about the Moundville Archaeological Park out in nearby Moundville, Alabama. Eight hundred years ago, Moundville was the largest city in North America.

About the same as far as sitting comfort. However, in many sit-on-tops, you're more likely to get wet than in a sit-inside. That factor alone increases the comfort level of a sit-inside in colder weather, especially if using a spray skirt. You can use scupper plugs to keep water from getting into a sit-on-top, but they're never as full-proof as the sealed hull of a sit-inside.

FWIW, I own a sit-on-top as well as three sit-inside 'yaks (two recreational 'yaks and a longer touring sea kayak).
