Floating pin vs. tightening pin on Folders

You can get 1/8" pivots lots of places. They use 2 X 56 Torx screws. I take the heads down say .020. I make some small folders where the bolsters are quite thin . Frank

You can use a 1/8" pivot with screws to hold the liner together. Countersink the back of the bolsters to accept the screw heads.

Joe-bob - not sure what you mean, but they're about as precise as I can get em with my current tools and knowhow.

What I meant was that the hole in the blade should be drilled undersize, and then brought out to the exact appropriate dimension with a reamer, and as had been mentioned by others the pin should be a hardened precision made dowel; you can buy those. The holes in the liners should be done the same way, but probably to a press fit, not a moving fitment like the blade.
