Good gosh it got hot yesterday! I felt bad for the dog and the chickens it was so nasty outside. I was wondering if any of the chickens were going to stoke out because they don't seem to take heat that well. I wouldn't have been that bad if the humidity wasn't 60-70% allllllllllll day long.

First I took my wall thermometer inside to make sure it was working properly. It leveled out at 78°F (maybe showing a little cooler) which is what the A/C was set at. Next I sat it in the sat on the porch in the shade and it climbed up to 101°F! Yikes! I figured just for fun I'd set it on a fence post and it hit 116°F!

We had some friends in town from Texas this weekend and they thought they were gonna die. I now understand why A/C is listed as a huge reason more people migrated to the south.

Looks like its gonna be a hot summer.

This is my kinda weather. Been pushing 100 with high humidity in Alabama also. All the pussies are staying inside and sucking up AC. I've been working all weekend outside...in the garden, mowing, weedeating, killing weeds around the barn, cut hay last week and raked and bailed it on Friday. Hot my ass!

I did some work outside in the morning, but I was busy running around for Fathers Day stuff. I did lunch with my family and then dinner with the GF's family.

I'm used to it being hot (being a Florida Cracker myself) but it was HOT yesterday. I always get a kick out of it because everything stops...no dogs barking, birds flying, horses running, or anything. It was dead out yesterday afternoon.

I don't want to hear any whining from Florida residents since they always seem to take GREAT pleasure in telling us northerners how nice it is in Florida when we are fighting sub-zero temps and blizzards. :p

Fine.....

At least I can strip down to my tighty whitey's in the heat!:D

You may want to stay away from my yard though...

Whenever I perform my nude rain dance, the neighbors stay indoors and draw the shades. :p

Pictures of naked animals don't count.

You get overheated, you get uncomfortable.
I get overheated, my prosthetic foot slips off from the sweat.

I don't like the heat, but that doesn't stop me from going outside. Especially because I have to work in it.
