Florida heat wave!

well, you have found one dummy here that absolutely loves the heat and hates the cold.

thats cool, you acually know what heat means. (only ranting about sheeple)
its funny, some people really would rather be out working in 95 and humid, they look at me crazy when I say I'd rather be chipping ice off the framing stock.

I don't mind the heat, its the humidity that kills my breathing. I like the dry hot days best of all, 90+ with low humidity (on the beach) now that is my kind of weather!

I was out in the south Texas heat all day today spraying fertilizer on peoples lawns.

It hit 105 at 2pm and humid. It was like working in the devil's armpit.

I drank 3 and a half gallons of water today. Now keep in mind, I'm 265 pounds and sweat like a lawn sprinkler. chick chick chick chick chick chick shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh chick chick chick chick chick.

As I walked across one lawn, I watched a sparrow take flight from a nearby tree....... He made it halfway across the lawn before he burst into flames in mid air and crashed to the ground like the Hindenburg.

That old saying about frying an egg on the pavement, I cooked a 17lb brisket.

FLA ain't got nuttin.:D

I worked construction 2 years in Tampa bay, I got tired of people saying........
"oh the heat really doesnt bother me" reeeaaaallllyyy, come to work with me and then tell me the heat doesnt bother you. when at the end of every single day your clothes are stiff from all the salt they absorbed and you smell like amonia. They say this from their recliner in their ac office, during their ride home in their ac car, to go sit in their ac house. (sorry a little rant there)
AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH back in good ol' new england, bring on the cold.
but if I met some hotties like the one in that pic mabe I wouldn't have moved back!!

I work in the survey department of a large engineering company. We were down in Tampa performing topograhical surveys of the "wetland areas" (more like swamps). We were there for two months and the heat often got up to 100. Of course we had to wade through nasty water, cut line through those thorny plants (can't remember their names), fight off hornets which would nest in the plants, ward off snakes, and keep our eyes open for gators. It wasn't easy at all, but I would not trade the experience for anything. Just like you said, our clothes would become stiff from all the salt. I lost 24 pounds during those two months.

I've lived in Florida all my life and love it but it does get very hot and humid. I normally work in an office, but for the last month and a half I've been assigned to a new construction project at Universal Studios, Orlando that requires me to be outside in the sun 12 hours a day. Damn it's been HOT.

It's around 80 degrees at 7:00 in the morning and gets close to 100 degrees and 100 percent relative humidity by the afternoon. That's when the thunderstorms move through and you get to walk around in 6" deep mud and it feels like your in a sauna. I will be soooo glad when this job is done!

Jokes on me!

A/C went out on Friday and they wont be able to tell me if they have a compressor until Monday.

I love the heat as long as I am by water with a cold beer in my hand, it is pushing 110 here, no humidity, it is like sticking your head in a frigging oven. Must be global warming, maybe Al Gore was right :jerkit:

Off topic question...

A week or two ago someone said you had the best avatar and it was settled that another guy did..

Remember his username? I forgot to look.

You guys in Florida can keep your heat and humidity for yourselves. I promise not to come down there again, I was there for 4 days and never stopped sweating. I did have a real good time fishing down there though.
