Hey Guys..

Back From a wonderful trip to Florida.. Went to see the Mouse and had some cool adventures in between tourist traps…

A Couple of the many “Warning” Signs you’ll see in Florida…
Top Sign was at a rest stop along the way...

The fence being bent in several places along the bottom means there were obviously Gators either coming or going...

The bottom sign was outside of a Cracker Barrel restaurant. The gate at the end of the pond was swinging open in the breeze.. Nice!

A Pair of Sandhills with a crainlet.. Mom and dad were fairly friendly until I got a little too close to the chick, then they promptly and Loudly ran me off..

These birds are larger than they look in the pictures, standing stretched out at about 4 feet tall..

I wasn’t going to argue with them, as those beaks are Extremely pointy…

A Sand Crab I caught on Cocoa beach at night.. Got a nice pinch from him. Took him back to the motel and let him roam the bath tub for awhile…

yeah there are alligators all over the place. I went to the everglades once and was biking there and there were alligators just laying there in the middle of the path. I decided to turn around :(

Those little lizards are incredible, they look like jewelry until they move!

Looks like all you kids got a great experience out of the trip. :)

Normark..... Excellent to see you posting again...I missed your input and presence around the forum... Great pics looks like you had a great time... Florida has such diversity in it's wildlife it's a great place...

Hey Guys...

Thanks..

Yes,, Everyone had a Blast...
The kids thing was Disney and Kennedy,, my thing was to wander the beaches, and waterways both at night and during the day..Went through a bunch of 3Volt Surefire Batts...

I was always the first one up and the last to bed, snooping around the waters edge and such.. Luckily I didn't run into anything dangerous, although I was Extremely careful and watched where I stepped and scanned the area well before moving forward...

The first night on Cocoa Beach the ocean was fairly rough and we found a Ton of Portuguese Man of War Jelly fish washed up on the beach.. The kids were warned in advance NOT to touch anything unless they asked first..

Whenever we go somewhere I always try to find interesting things for the kids to look at..
My oldest son and I had a blast catching sand crabs by flashlight..At one time we had several in a Gladware container,, but one wrong move with the lid and they all got out but one... These crabs move Very quickly and bury themselves almost quicker,,so they can be tough to spot...
