Fluted Ti Native vs Southard, which is a better buy..?

I have the forum s110v native 5 and the southard. The southard feels more special to me: more blade to handle.

But I understand the ti n5 is harder to find.

The Southard is my favorite Spyderco hands down. Estate4life is right it does feel like more of a gents knife to me as well. For EDC use I like the Southard.

I love my Fluted Ti N5 and carry it often. It has nice ergos; looks and works great. Southard looks like a nice knife, but isn't nearly as distinctive as the Fluted Ti N5.

Well my decision is made..
This arrived yesterday and I'm very happy with the out come.
Great size for a EDC and very elegant as a Gentleman's folder...
The next big question is should I switch the blade from my Forum edition Native and Make it a S110V Ti Fluted Native.!!!!!

Firstly, congrats!

I say if you're going to carry it may as well put the performance of the S110V in there. That'll be sick!

Does Spyderco plan to make a second run on the Native fluted ? love to get one but not for the price they are going now .

Congrats on Ti Fluted N5. It is the great knife. I wish it had upgraded steel, but I love my Forum Native as is and ECD it every day.

I beleive that Spyderco released at least two batches already. Ti Fluted Native is a limited production knife, so should be more made, unless something will changed.

I finally got both of them ..
I enjoy the Southard as a EDC but the Ti fluted Native is really impressive in person.. I mostly use the Native on the weekends..
The Ergonomics are better on the Native as a user Knife , the finger choil makes all the difference..

Thanks too all that replied, I realized you have to feel the knife to really decide which is best for you..
I really enjoyed your comments they where very helpful..

Change that blade!!! Rock what YOU want. I put my Cruwear blade in my Ti. Ti handles and Cruwear steel, this begs to be used and carried. Rock that thang!!

At least try it out to see if they fit!

I've got a Ti Fluted Native, which I put up sale on the Exchange. Decided it was too nice for me. Oddly enough, it still hasn't sold. So I might end up withdrawing it and just using it.

Now I'm tempted to snag a S110V Native and do a blade swap onto my Ti Native.

Personally, I love the blade swapped Spydercos with Ti handles and super steels. I recently swapped a CRUWEAR blade onto my Ti Fluted Millie... Boy, she's incredible.

In short, oh hell yes. If I had the funds for a fluted ti native I would be doing this in a heartbeat.

I'm currently looking for a Ti Millie to do this exact same thing. I'd love to find the fluted version, but I'd be happy to get the regular ti version as well.

I just noticed the heel of some spydercos piss me off, hate when heel meets choil, makes sharpening an annoyance.

why I chose Southard, heel slopes up and thus sharpening easy.

That's something that ticks me off too. I usually file a sharpening nick on the blade of my Spydercos. I can't find a picture right now or I'd post one.
