Fluting blades (fluted blades)

I am looking for the best way or at least a way to put a professional looking flute in a blade. Like that you would see in a KBar USMC knife.

The grooves are called fullers. They are best cut on a milling machine with a ball end mill.
 
You're welcome. I think that fullers are most advantageously used on swords to reduce the weight of the blade without sacrificing strength. It's sort of like a highly modified I-beam.
