Well, I won't bore you with too much history. In fact, I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
Actually, I will say that something about this Damascus steel and its similarity to a topograghical map has taken me back to a piece of my family history, somewhere over the South Pacific, that shaped my life, even before I was born.

Thanks for looking.

Man, I'm really glad you are the one that got that baby, thanks a lot for the pictures and sharing with us. It's nice to read where the guys from the Platinum Club come from.
It's being said, that fat one is a real beauty.
Thanks man.
Juan.

Guys thanks for all the great feedback and LMAO comments!
I had a great time with these today, thinking about it all, knowing many of you would relate on different levels, for different reasons. I hope one day to meet you all and share some good times together.

Brian,
I didn't ride in the ''Big Friend'', instead I took a T6 Texan that was on hand and put it through some loops, rolls and barrel rolls for about an hour with an arobatics instructor in the back seat....great fun.

Awesome pics, Pepper! Thanks for sharing them.
The knife is sick! Love the B-17, too.
