Good afternoon everyone,

I have for sale for your consideration a Flytanium 51 V3 Purple Titanium. This knife has been a user, though there is little wear on it from carry. The finish on the pocket clip shows no wear, the anodizing on the liners where the knife latches is slightly worn (as always happens on this model), and there may be a small wear mark or two on the purple anodizing (though I couldn't find any marks to photograph).

The majority of the wear is on the blade. The edge from the factory was not all that great, and it was quite uneven. I took it upon myself to try to correct this, and this resulted in the scratches on the blade. I took several photographs to try to make them as apparent as possible. They do not look as bad or obvious in person, but I wanted to make sure it looked as obvious as possible with reflective lighting in the photos.

The good news to this sharpening error -- after a few poor swipes that led to these scratches, I decided not to err further. :) I sent the knife off to Jason B. to have it professionally sharpened. He took it to a near mirror, biting edge. I have since used it a few times lightly and touched it up gently on a Spyderco UF stone.

As a balisong - the action is superb. I loctited the screws all to my preference for the simple flipping I do. It is smooth, yet solid, and latches solidly in both the open and closed positions. The few times I attempted a new flipping technique, I did so over a bed or couch, so the knife has never been dropped more than a foot on a soft surface. Even so, I learned after just a time or two that I'm best suited to simple horizontals, and that the Flytanium 32 is a better EDC choice for me.

Here is the opportunity to buy an excellent quality user at a severe discount because of my cosmetic sharpening mistake. These retail for about $380, if I recall correctly. Given the condition of the handles, scratches on the blade, and quality of the knife, I would like to see $OLD for this knife (the price of a normal 51). I have tried to price this fairly, but I would be happy to hear reasonable offers.
