Hi, folks!:)

The wife and I finally made it to Tampa, Florida - now I'm looking for FMA instruction in this area. Can anyone recommend a school/teacher?

Thanks,

Leo

Hello Leo - there is an Inosanto JKD Concepts school in Tampa - I dont have their number but if you contact THE SILESIAN YOUTH CENTER there in Tampa, someone should be able to help you - they sponsor Inosanto and Sirisute seminars there from time to time. I met them at an Inosanto seminar a couple years ago - good folks!

Thanks, James! I did find that school online myself, but had no idea how good they were. I should pay them a visit this Monday.

Take care,

Leo

A good friend of mine trained under Raffy Pambuan, who I think is either in Tampa or Orlando, I've seen some home videos of him, he's definately a master of knife, stick, and bullwhip - worth tracking down.

Ray isn't in Auburndale anymore I don''t think...but you can check.. i guess his web site is the best way....
hmm maybe he is still there..he still makes great training knives as well as teaching...Actually I'm not sure where Ray is these days..
OK so I should keep better track of my old friends...
Raffi is in Orlando..
Mike is in Orlando also...
THe Inosanto group in Tampa is A-OK...
Dr Willie teaches Modern Arnis in Clearwater...
Andy is in Ocala
there's other groups as well...
some don't advertise @ all...

I just got home from teaching the Corrections & LEO guys across the state..Next week off to CERT Challenge..for the week..
then off to NYC for Krav Maga..then right to San Franciso, then home in time for Miami Beach Gunting seminar..
Leo..why not contact Jody and come to that to start with..Then we can start getting things together..
no matter who else you train with...
see ya

Sorry I didn't get back to it sooner - I couldn't get online for a few days.

James, thanks again for the links. I've been taking lessons from Ray Dionaldo, who has recently moved from Auburndale to Tampa, and couldn't be happier. He's an extremely talented teacher and a nice guy, very down-to-earth.

Bram, I don't think I'll be able to be at the Miami Beach seminar, but thanks for the invitation. Maybe next time...

Take care,

Leo

Leo thats good to hear! Ray D. has a good rep, I've never met him, its good to hear it confirmed.

James, IMHO, his good reputation is more than deserved. As I've said, I'm really glad I found him.
