• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Hi TikTok,I first started using PBC when Terry Primo posted how well it had worked for him. Here is a tutorial that Terry did http://www.primosknives.com/articles/scale_prevention/no-scale1.htm psriley , check that site out a little after reading the PBC tutorial there is some good reading for a guy just starting out. Look under his site menu and go to "articles" TikTok , Terry finishes his Blades completely before HT , like so many have said before me " it is so much easier to bring a Blade to finish before it gets in the 56-60 HRC range. That is pretty much how I do mine now too. psriley , I have to always apply PBC twice to get full coverage. When I put it in my kiln for the second time when it comes back out it sometimes has a bubble or two , I just break them (I say break cause they're kind of crispy) and apply my second coat.I catch mine too , but on a large piece of cardboard that I keep around for just that purpose. Very rarely do I have a pit after Heat Treat since having gone to this method.
