Foils for Self Defense?

Well, the sword-cane I can't carry for obvious reasons. The canes are a pain for everyday carry as it is always in hand. What I want is something with a bit of length that can be concealed. I carry (legally) everyday: a Cold Steel El' Hombre and a HK .45 USP. Now while it might seem like I am set. I have been looking for something a bit less lethal. Something quick that I could stop a would-be-attacker before it got to deadly. I am beginning to think about taking an official class on the Asp or other style baton. That is the only way you can carry one in my state. I will feel rather silly in there learning the basics, but, what are you going to do? Thanks for all the advice.
