At first, I didn't know what you meant until I read the Sharpening FAQ.
But yes, it worked. Thank you.
Small details:
I used the back of a large kitchen knife because I don't have a rod. I started by going edge-first which ended up _sharpening_ my knife rather than fixing the fold.
So then I started going spine-first and it fixed my problem with just under 10 strokes on the side with the fold.
Now the fold is almost gone... But the edge on my knife is very very course because the kitchen knife sharpened it.
