This was a problem for me since I'm out at customer siters 80% of the time. Having shiny clips gleaming off your pants can be a bit threatening when you're talking to a customer.
I solved this by taking a tip from these forums and wrapping the clip in black heatshrink tubing. It doesn't look pretty, but the clips virtually disappear against a pair of black pants. They're more "grabby" as well, but I've found that they lessen the wear on pockets and waistbands.
