Folder count

While organizing my folders today I decided to count them. In my case some are $20 and up to about $300. I'm curious of how bad your addiction is. I'm hoping to simmer down a bit. I have more than I need but do get enjoyment out of carrying what i choose. My folders added up to 67. Fixed blades is for another day!

I have around 8 folders in the rotation of knives that I carry and use. These are almost all Spyderco sprints and exclulsives. I have a lot more misc. folders that I don't use, maybe 15-20 more. These range from absolute junk knives to old Gerber, SOG, Cold Steel. Same for me- fixed blades is another subject.

None of us can judge you based on the number of knives that you own, that is completely up to you. We all know what "hoarders" are with respect to filling their house with junk and trash, as long as you aren't in that territory with your knife collecting and your family isn't in any hardship due to your spending then you can do what makes you happy. You can own knives without feeling pressure to carry and use them, if it makes you happy to know that it is there, to take it out and look at it, whatever.

I have 650 folders. I can carry a different knife every day for 1.78 years.

After almost 6 years of collecting, I have about 60 folders of varying price points, mostly in the &150-$250 range. About half of those are “safe queens” but as of recently I’m trying to get everybody into the rotation. Life is too short not to carry a knife you love

My thoughts exactly, I've been selling off stuff I will never carry, and carrying the safe queens! Got this beauty in the pocket today!

Prior to a move earlier this year, I sold off the bulk of my collection except for the few I actually use and the sentimental ones. Last I checked I have 4 folders, 2 fixed blades and I think 3 SAKs.

Of those, only one of my folders and one of my SAKs get carry time. Same pair everyday. The rest are spread out between vehicles and various toolboxes.

I honestly don’t know how many I have. I would have to find them all to count them.

I’m not very organized.
I think it’s somewhere between 20 and 30, ranging from $20 to $600.

I do know where the expensive ones are
