Lets have some useful/productive conversation here.

What size blade would you like to see?

Would you like to see a small and large version? If so, what sizes?

Scales or no scales?

If I had only one choice of size, I would like to see a 3.5" blade. Not too big and not too small.

If there was a small and large version, my choice would be a 2.75" blade and a 3.75" blade. I chose the 2.75" because there are a lot of places where there is a 3.0" max. blade length restriction. Plus, I just like a smaller blade at times to carry. I chose the 3.75" because I have had 4.0" folders and they are just too big to carry and its not like I'm going to be chopping down trees or anything with it.

As far as scales go, I like both a solid titanium slab side knife like a Mayo or the LionSteel, but I also like a bolstered knife with micarta scales like a Custom Emerson. I could also easily go for a Micarta main side with a titanium frame lock side like a Strider, ZT300 or Hinderer, that would make it a little more economically priced.

Tim, you make some good points but your closing remark "I could also easily go for a Micarta main side with a titanium frame lock side like a Strider, ZT300 or Hinderer, that would make it a little more economically priced." speaks volumes.

I'm in folder acquisition mode, offloaded all but one fixed blade. I tell ya, everything I have coming in is exactly what you describe. I would want the Busse to be something different.

-No flipper action, how about a grippy thumbstud with a geared sort of pattern, just enough to enhance the grip, not enough to kill your thumb.

-Two blade lengths, 3 3/8 and 4 inch models so that you and I could carry in Seattle and the other dudes could carry their folding hatchets everywhere else :D

-Blade style, modified bowie with an almost full height hollow grind and false swedge. Similar to Darrel Ralphs HTM DDR Gun Hammer bowie but again I'd like a hollow grind.

-Handle would be titanium on both sides and I'd like a handle that has more curve than a Sebenza, less curve than say an RJ Martin Overkill. Then offer choices on insets, nothing small like CRKs or any other but I think it would be cool to mill out the non locking side up to about 2mm from the edge and then you could have your choice of inset material be it micarta, G10, wood, bone, etc. The inset would go around the pivot and everything. This would give Busse a ton of show and Ganza options.

I would want a 3.5" with G10 slabs in various colors.

I like the idea of a small and large version.

If there was a small version I would like a 3" and a 3.75" for the larger version.

slim blade- 1.8?
2.9"
no choil
metal frame with knurling
no slabs
skullcrusher
reversable pocket clip- for Right/ Left and Tip down/ up carry.

I can happily second this ... though I think the basic 3.5" would be "just right.":)

I've a number of ti slab frames (the LionSteel, for example), but a Busse Folder would feel "just right" (again) with that Micarta main side/ti frame lock side!!

I'm not set on any particular blade shape, though. Jerry knows what's best.

SKULLCRUSHER!! SKULLCRUSHER!! SKULLCRUSHER!!!

I never thought of having that on a folder, that would be great!

COME ON POST 1,000!!!! I'd like to see a 3.5" blade, preferably a thick slab of INFI, spearpoint / plain edge would be ideal.

I wonder if the real hold up could be trying to figure out all the logistics involved with the production of the future folder.
