This isn't a poll about which is better. I think that comes down not just to preference but to preference on a given knife.

I'm curious what you actually ordered, or going to order. Since I got screwed by PayPal I have few days to make my choice. But, I'm on a fence heavily leaning towards studs here.

Speaking of studs and holes...heyooooooo! But seriously folks, what are the odds of getting a wave version at some point? I love the way it snaps open like an auto as its drawn. And while Im dreaming, adding a skull crusher to thee butt end would make it a a brawlers dream.

Well part of the reason I plan on getting studs is because I plan on having a blade commissioned to put in the folder, if it's not too complicated, that will have wave and a hole. Hopefully a pretty damascus pattern hehe. And really hoping it's easy to swap the blades back and forth.

Thats an idea - probably more feasible than having Busse acquire licensing for the wave. Although its been around for a while and maybe free now.

eta - I just looked it up and it appears that the wave patent has expired, but knowing Jerry he would probably ask Ernie before using it out of respect, but I may be jumping ahead slightly.

I think talking about messing with the man's 30 year work, by changing out blades in the folder is borderline step too far on my behalf. Especially, considering that the man and the company have yet to let us down. In design and function.

Perhaps, asking them to go out and ask permission to incorporate someone else's designs on a commercial scale is bit much. Even if the design choice is commercialy available.

No matter how much I appreciate that feature, it will take away from the knifes distinct Busse heritage look. But, if offered, I'd imitately jump on it.

I wouldn’t mess with it myself, but once purchased, it’s the owner’s choice on how he modifies his property. IMO.

The numbers are close and they are also small. Surprised. Seems like many people have to come out of the closet here. Come on you closet hounds, no shame in coming out of the closet and admitting you are buying a Busse folder.
