Finished this a little bit ago. Holds the blade while grinding. Might still round a few corners on it. Need to drill and tap some holes for holding the blade on.

How do you plan to clamp the blade to the front? Screw through the pivot hole with a screw for a "shelf" under it?

I would assume the blade might have an extra knob extending from the tip with a hole drilled in it so you could screw it on at the tip and at the pivot, kind of like factory knives. I know that kershaw does it this way on some models. Pretty inventive little jig.

Got a bottom put on it. Shaped it up a little. And got the blade attachment finished. Even practiced some with it. Pay no attention to that blade it is old scrap.

You've got some serious talents for jigs.

This looks really useful! Any chance on getting a little diagram of this one as well?

Wow. I'm not usually a fan of using jigs over free handing, but that one is very nicely done!

I recommend a jam nut under your angle adjusting Socket head, to prevent it from moving on you. Very cool tool notwithstanding!! I use a somewhat similar fixture for doing tapered tangs. No springs, and thru holes on the face to catch threaded holes on the blade tangs I taper.

Thats a really neat tool. Thanks for posting it.

Pretty cool! I use an 8" piece of 6061 T6 2" angle stock for many of my small blades. Works as a heat sink to help grind longer on the little blades. I just free hand mine though, no work rest.
