Folder in M4 recommendations

The Manix seems like a good choice given your preferences, but will be hard to find. The GB1 will be a good option, but the Mantra is a solidly built knife in a compact package with a cutting edge longer than the Manix or the PM2, and almost as long as the GB1.

IMG_1863.JPG Exactly what I was going to recommend JP.
Had mine for about a year and can tell you it is a fantastic knife! Action, ergos, centering etc are spot on! The M4 is a pleasure to keep ludicrous sharp.
The knife is a beast.
Pretty sexy too!

Don't forget the
Benchmade 908BK-1501 Axis Stryker II - Carbon Fiber - Black Blade - Drop Point - CPM M4
It's a KSF exclusive, on a discontinued knife? If there were a mini available, I'd have a few.

I have two benchmade 1303 mini grips. They are amongst my favorite users.
Both my GB1 and BM 810 are very well built, but too big for my use... I'm working on that.

On the Gayle Bradleys...here's another nod for the GB1. Both great knives. The GB2 is a little smoother opening, prettier, lighter, but also had a noticeably weaker detent. This also made it more flickable.

The GB1 had a thicker liner, stronger detent. It weighs more and takes up more pocket real estate. If I just had one, I'd be happy with either. But side by side, the GB1 just seems like another level of sturdy, tank-like cutting machine awesomeness.

GB2.

All natural patina.

Food prep...Fruits,veggies,chilies.
Blooded meats and everything in between.

And the GB2 is my do it all knife.

Sold off my PM2s... Manix`s, Delica`s.

The HG grind is not an issue.

Once it was broken in.. it's a dream.

I've had several GB1's and one GB2. I prefer my GB2 as it's one full ounce lighter and fits my hand better. The GB2 is quite a bit cheaper; the blade is also a bit thinner and this better fits my idea of a slicer.

Honestly I don't know what it is but the hollow grind on my GB1 feels like it comes down to almost paper thin behind the edge. The edge geometry has been outstanding.

I ended up getting a GB1 for $90 and it has to be one of the best buys I've got for under $100. It's very smooth and extremely solid. Definitely would've got one for $170 or whatever they were priced at if I knew then what I do now

Let us know how you feel about it after some time to work it. I personally am strongly partial the the original (GB1), but I'm sure the 2 is a great knife as well. I have had 4 or so of the originals, an currently have a non-drilled-liner (first series, rumored to have higher heat treat numbers) that is my favorite. An yes, they slice like a flatout demon, right up there with my Krein-regrind CQC-11 (which is just insane).

If you can swing the PM2 in M4, I'd say it's the best all arounder. Huge fan of both GBs, and the GB2 would be my runner up for EDC.
