Hi All. Looking for a folder made in the USA. I have been waiting for the ESEE folder, but I don't want to wait any longer. Also thought about the HEST, but then realized it wasn't US. Something similar to those two would be nice. Right now I'm carrying a 3 inch blade, 4 inches closed, about 1/2 inch thick, which is a nice size. Don't want to go much over $150.

Thanks.

Gerber Gator Folder is a great knife. And you'll have about $100 left over to buy other knives!

Spyderco has several models made in USA. I think that you can sort their knives by country of origin on their website.

You might also look at the small Bone collector. The Izula folder was scheduled to be D2 IIRC. The Bone Collectors are D2 and the small one has a 2.97" blade (I think that's right). Very stout and US made.

Hmm Spyderco Para 2 or Manix 2? Kershaw JYDII? BM Ritter Grip? There are so many recommendations I can think of.

Love my Spyderco Manix2's. Exclusive Sprint Run still available at BBS, FFG M4 blade, G10 handles, solid lock, in your size and price range. Made in Golden, CO, USA , Earth. Hard to beat.

Thanks. The Vantage and Dejavoo both look good.

I had a Dejavoo when I started buying folders....as I remember it had a weak detent. I sent to back to KC.
Nutnfancy did a review on it. He didn't have much good to say about it. The Vantage is a much better
knife for a lot less $$ IMO.

Just look through Spyderco, Kershaw (ZT), and Benchmade's websites. Most of the good folders out there are made here.

Thanks everyone. I was able to handle a vantage today at Dick's, they carry the large Select. I liked it a lot, I believe I'll be ordering a pro tonight.

Thanks again.

The Kershaw Speedform II is a very high-quality folder for under 90 bucks, it's one heck of a deal. I'm not aware of any other American made ELMAX blade with similar price.

The price range the OP asked about, I would go Spyderco or Kershaw. If the price range was a higher, I'd look for a used Chris Reeve Serbenza.
