Folder recommendation please.

Dang, Applejacks...you're as hard to please as me...uh, maybe harder. I like many of the knives mentioned. Maybe a Fallkniven U2?

But for me the small Sebbie is hard to beat...is it perfect...NO. But it's the best I've seen.

Best of luck.
:)

LOL. Yeah. I buy a lot of knives and sooner or later they end up being given away or ebayed. I am looking for something I could LOVE. I have something specific in mind and know that when I see it.. I will know, its 'the one'.

I bought a Seb, then sold it for a 100 loss on ebay.. about a month later.

The benchmade Mini Dejavoo, probably one of the smoothest folders I ever opened.

Not a fan of that handle shape.

Any ideas where I can get a BM MiniStryker in plain satin blade?

LOL. I know. But my search parameters are so tight that I can't find anything that fits the bill. So I am thinking of going to a MiniStryker.

Cool! I just have been following your thread since yesterday to see if you found something that fit your needs, and I thought I missed something.

If the MiniStryker works for you...great! Can't go wrong with Benchmade.

Though...is the MiniStryker discontinued? If so, a Google seach should be able to track some down for you.

Yeah its been discontinued for a while. I googled and found a place, but I don't know how reliable the place is.

I was also considering a Emerson Mini CQC.

Benchmade Vex??? A tad bigger than 3" at 3.29" but close...

HA! Funny you mention the Vex. I thought it would fill what I wanted.. ordered it, got it, sold it. Bulky, and I couldn't get over the made in China stigma.

The mini striker feels pretty chunky. Heavily textured G-10 scales over full liners plus a big clip. I like mine a lot, but I can't fit my hand in my pocket if I'm carrying it.

My plain steel Kershaw Leek is about as slim as it gets. You get used to the assisted opening pretty quick.

Really? Damn. All the pictures I have seen make the Mini Stryker seem small. Proportionally speaking it seems almost identical to a Featherlite. I would love some pictures if possible!

I know it's a spyderco, but check out the paramilitary. its an all around tough knife. They can be had for around a hundred bucks.

Emerson Hard Wear Endeavor?

it is thin, opening hole, made by the same people that make the Japanese Spydercos.

i wouldn't have considered one, until i handled it. it's on par with the Endura, without being an Endura. and i'm a big Spydie fan.
